I believe that change is a word that shows you a positive opportunity in life which can lead you to have better things. How many chance do you have in your life? You can summarized it and count it for the change you had before, but you will not be able to count the chance in your future. Well then let’s focus on the chance you had in the past.

To count it, I’ll help you to describe it by showing some chances I had in the past, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t happy as I am today;

  • Did you choose by your self to study in one particular good school during Junior and Senior High grade? I chose the good one, but not the best one.
  • Did you have an options to take your main subjects in school?
  • Did you have opportunities to study in good colleges? I had three options at that time; I did the test for those three colleges, and I passed for all of them.
  • Did you confuse to choose your major discipline? So many options were there, but I couldn’t take it all.
  • Did you have some job offers after your graduation?
  • Did you watch Metallica’s life performance in Lebak Bulus? This is the chance I missed, and I still regret it until now.
  • Did you date a ‘celeb’ in your school time? Did you have a chance to do so? Yes I did, but I was too naïf to pick her up. But then recently (many years after that), she told me that she was my fan. What a big lost!! …..hahaha
  • Did you date a girl when you were in college? No, I didn’t, even when the chances were there.
  • Did you have a promotion program at your recent job that you missed? Yes I did.
  • Did you have a chance to take post graduate program? Yes I did.
  • Did you have chances to fix your past relationship with your friends?
  • Did you go to the places you’ve been dreaming off?
  • Did you take the opportunity for the scholarship offered?
  • Did you choose for passive income activities offered to you? Yes I did, I was glad to have it.
  • and much more…

After having a short flash back journey, then let’s find out how to overcome the guilty feels and the regrets for not taking out the chances we had:

Life is a matter of choosing, you can not choose all the things, there are so many ways in front of you. Which one do you want to choose? Don’t you ever forget that there is a price for what you take, including forgetting the other options.

The chances will not come twice…that’s what people say. Do you believe that? May be in term of time ,yes they’re right. But still there are some possibilities for it to come back to you. The simple sample is when I turn down an offer for a job from an international company years ago, but recently again they offered me the same job. What I want to say is when you are dreaming something to be happen in your life, then just keep on dreaming, and be aware when the time comes.

Learn from your situation when you had chances, and memorize the situation when you had to decide. How to overcome the confusedness is one thing you must know, so when the time comes for you to decide, you’ll be sharper and wiser.

“Somebody must take a chance. The monkeys who became men, and the monkeys who didn't are still jumping around in trees making faces at the monkeys who did.” ……Lincoln Steffens quotes.

“Take a chance! All life is a chance. The man who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare.” …..Dale Carnegie quotes

“The only safe thing is to take a chance.” ….Mike Nichols quotes
